Our Artists
Gilly de Barros
Gilly de Barros
Was born in Brazil, studied art and for many years created in New York, London and Barcelona, collaborating with famous artists, designers, sculptors, among them Miquel Barcelo, Stephan Roman, Javier Mariscal, Barry Flanagan, Bruno Fonseca and others.
A few years ago the artist returned to Mallorca and immediately found the source of his inspiration - windmills! The main symbol of the island with its deep history and ... unfortunately somewhat forgotten, and sometimes abandoned. He saw many expressive silhouettes spread all over the landscape. Inkjet black forms. Some reach out to help others in deep personal embrace. Some are angry while others are sad. Some are courageous and others defeated, but everyone has a story to tell.
For the series of works "COLLAPSOTOPIA" artist Gilly de Barros selected a dozen and a half original works of different formats, made both by oil on canvas and original mixed technique - gold leaf, Indian ink, coffee with natural pigments. These paintings are stunning!
“COLLAPSOTOPIA is what should be a collection of studies based on the expression of twisted windmills, which in itself is a metaphor for time," says Gilly de Barros. “In art I chose forms in motion to liven up the drawing. It is a concept of an artistic movement that originated in Italy in the early 20th century. It insisted that the perceived world is in a constant movement, as in COLLAPSOPIA, where the end coincides with the beginning. This is the reason why I prefer to show my paintings by several works together, sometimes even in series, to highlight this movement," says the artist.

Nicolas Maray
Nicolas Maray was born in 1970 in La Seyne-sur-Mer (France).
Until 1989, he attended drawing, painting, photography and sculpture workshops in Beaux-Arts. Then he chose photography as the most obvious and natural expression of his emotions at that time. Nicolas Maray becomes a photographer, collaborates with numerous advertising projects, organizes personal art projects in France, Poland and the United States. Ten years later, his photographic work focuses on footprints, traces of destruction that time imposes on our environment. But the photographic format limits his desires, and the artist decides to free himself and go beyond photography in his work.
Painting becomes a necessity, which gives him a wider space in the creative realization and transference of his perception of the environment. Nicolas organized his first solo exhibition in 2004. Now the artist's works are exhibited in France, Japan and now in Spain.
"Time goes beyond its definition. It escapes from its abstract and universal concept to become a living and visible resonance of our lives," says Nicolas Maray. "Time is what we are, what it designs to allow us to be. It lifts us up as much as it knocks us down. But it is too difficult to cling to what cannot be sustained or defined, and life ends. Time survives and allows us to feel its shadow, its profile, its many faces, and this is the most important part of us", sums up the artist.
Katrin Starostenko
Katrin Starostenko, whose origins lie in Ukraine, spent her childhood and adolescence travelling and observing social injustices and growing ecological problems.
In this way he matured as the person and artist and was defining the direction in his creative work. They dream of installations, performances or other artistic manifestations, they are based on raising awareness of these current problems.
Now she lives in Mallorca, where she creates inspired by beauty and assumes as her own the sensitivity, needs and problems that the island lives today. It uses sustainable materials, tools and resources in its projects to minimise the ecological footprint of its creation. From the curious gaze of a little girl, she creates unlimited games and experiments from biodegradable and recycled materials from our day to day.
Her methods of artistic expression open up the possibility of participating in numerous local and international exhibitions, as well as collaborating with scientists and ecologists, musicians, dancers and other artists, and communities with special needs.
The works are in private collections in Russia, Ukraine, Holland, Italy, Germany, Poland, France, Spain, Georgia, Turkey, India and Nepal.

Hanne Holze
Hanne Holze
Hanne Holze was born in Germany.
She lived in San Francisco and Hawaii for several years before moving to Kampen on Sylt where she worked as an antique dealer. In 1995 she devoted herself to her first watercolour studies and in the following years extended these studies to acrylic and oil painting. She has lived and worked in Mallorca since 1998.
Hanne Holze's works are dominated by round forms. With her help, she parodies the people whom she lovingly stages with a trained eye. They are benevolent figures who delight the viewer of their pictures positively and in full affirmation of life. Her protagonists, depicted by the artist in spherical proportions with a sometimes curious and almost clumsy anatomy in soft colours, convey a feeling of harmony and unconcerned joie de vivre that is rarely found in this combination in art today. This is where the unmistakable charm lies, which gives Hanne Holze's works their individual and unique touch.
Hanne Holze has shown her work in galleries and at trade fairs in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Mallorca, Malta and Beijing. Her paintings have been sold not only in Europe, but also in the USA and Japan.

Ayuna
Ayuna
A young but already popular artist from Siberia (Russia), who has lived in Spain for many years (Madrid, Palma de Mallorca).
Works in the genre of "naive fine art", characterized by simplicity of forms, clarity and formal immediacy of the graphic-expressive language. In the same genre, paintings by such outstanding artists of the twentieth century without special artistic education as the Frenchman Henri Rousseau and the Georgian Niko Pirosmani, who created real masterpieces, painted into the treasury of world art, painted.
Ayuna came to the visual arts, already at a mature age, after a fateful meeting with the Dalai Lama, who made an indelible impression on her. Since then, she has not parted with paints and canvases, working in a state of a certain trance and meditation.

Alexandre Beridze
Alexandre Beridze
Was born in Leningrad in 1975, he is grandson of a Russian painter Fedor Kholenkov. He graduated from Tbilisi Academy of Fine Art. IN 2000 Alexandre moved to France and worked as a graphic designer for various advertising agencies in Paris. For several years Alexandre had been working at Philippe Starck's creative laboratory where he took master class on the theory of minimalism called "Less is more". Art critics point out rich color palette of Alexandre Beridze's works, his experiments with coloristics, various painting techniques and graphic images. The artist has formulated his own art theory and called it "Lines of Color". This theory gave the name to the exhibition in Adler Gallery, which, basing on the idea of spectrum, started that everything around us consists of color fragments and lines that together form the whole picture.
Alexandre calls his art style "expressive suprematism": he creates new visual dimension through the combination of abstraction and geometry.
The artist has participated in Phillip auctions, as well as the exhibitions in Monaco, Italy, Spain, France, Great Britain and Belgium.
Elena Begma
Elena Begma
Discovered many sources of inspiration in the complexity and diversity of the visible world, historical and socio-cultural processes. No less important for the artist is the art of the great predecessors. However, to Begma, as an artist, the shallow imitation of the past, as well as the squandering and devaluation of inherited heritage is unacceptable.
Today as more and more artists are experimenting with using light as it's own media, Begma's works are an example of how light can be used as a subject in a more traditional medium.
Elena Begma successfully participated in the exhibitions in France, Russia, Italy, Slovakia, China.

Mikhail Dyachkov
Mikhail Dyachkov
He is the Graduate of the Art and Graphic Department of the Moscow Pedagogical University. He currently works as an artist, as well as a designer and advertiser.
In his works the artist uses physical properties of light to employ it as an artistic medium. Similarly, to how a traditional artist would use a brush, Dyachkov uses a set of mirrors, prims and magnets.
Through deploying these tools, the artist reflects and refracts light in different directions, as well as alters its colour and intensity. The result of Dyachkov's manipulations is an abstract, geometrical composition, that is "painted" on the panel.
Galina Poloz
Galina Poloz
She was born in Moldavian Soviet Socialistic Republic, she has graduated with honours from the Chisinau Art College.
Influences of Abstract Expressionism can be seen in the way that Poloz intuitively applies strokes in these pieces. However, rather than simply reiterating said movement's visual aesthetics, Poloz builds upon them by combining these characteristic strokes with modern technology.
As a medium, stereo-light-panels have only started to be employed by artists fairly recently, most famously by American sculptor Dale Chihuly, who made an effective use of their glass-like properties.
While these properties are also utilized in Poloz's works, she primarily focuses on the panel's ability to conduct light. This gives the marks in her works, a translucent and luminescent characteristic, captivating the viewers.
