For the first time in the "CAN BONI" gallery, the multi-artist Pasha Shappo and his erotic stories in painting and storytelling
Already in early February fans of fine arts and literature will get acquainted with the original exposition of works "with spice".
On Friday, February 7th at 19.00 in the gallery "CAN BONI" (c/ Forn de la Gloria, 8 / c/ de Can Boneo, 2A) for the first time will be held the presentation of the original exhibition of paintings by multiartist, painter and writer Pasha Shappo entitled "Hornet’s Breakfast. The Whispered Stories".
Pasha Shappo is a famous Russian artist, who lives and works in Minsk and Moscow. He has been actively exhibiting since the late 90s. He can rightly be called a multi-artist, because, in addition to painting, Pasha successfully realizes himself as a film and theater artist, scenographer, director, writer. But his main passion remains painting. For example, easel painting, graphics, collage, etc.
The creative way of Pasha began in the city of Vitebsk (Belarus), where at that time his father - the famous graphic artist Vladimir Shappo - worked. There Pavel graduated from the Faculty of Graphic Arts. Then he moved to Minsk, worked in St. Petersburg, Baku, Moscow, and in Warsaw and Mexico. Today the artist is a member of the Belarusian Union of Artists, Cinematographers and Designers.
For the exhibition of Pasha Shappo " Hornet’s Breakfast. The Whispered Stories " in Spain was selected one and a half dozen combined works, where each picture becomes another chapter of the story. Powerful energy, a bright mixture of emotions, erotic thoughts and sexual feelings - these are the first impressions from the work of Shappo in this exhibition. According to the artist, the most important in his fate are women, life and painting. And his painting organically combines minimalism and interesting accents, playing with color and "air" on canvas. These are the stories that the viewer will see and read (yes!) in the "CAN BONI" gallery.
- These are some small stories... Stories that happened to me or heard with a glass of wine somewhere on the summer terrace from my friends and girlfriends. Stories that the ocean whispered to me and not only him...", the artist opens the curtain of the future exhibition. It happens, and the sofa in my studio, inherited from an old artist with a huge sexual past, and I hope that the same fierce future, begins to sigh to me and something languid by women's voices that I just sat on it, begin to blush. The stories crawled into my ears like a tune you hear from the next car at a crossroads when you're standing on red. A house or funk music that breaks and rock the car and the whole street at the same time, and then the full gas and the car disappears behind the corner... And you keep singing and singing and wondering how to find that sweet Dj set, write it down for yourself. But in the running, you forget the rhythm, the chorus... What a pity. But here I could, I sketched what I couldn't write down. I wrote something down, and what I didn't write down just remembered and was ready to tell you personally with a glass of wine somewhere on the summer terrace, and even better - in a cozy gallery "CAN BONI" on February 7. See you soon!" - Pasha Shappo says.
To date, the works have been acquired by the Museum of Contemporary Russian Art of New Jersey, the Vitebsk Museum of Art, and are in private collections in Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Germany, France, Mexico, Lebanon, Austria and Switzerland.
The exhibition "Hornet’s Breakfast. The Whispered Stories" in "CAN BONI" gallery will be held from February 7 to 21, 2020. Entrance is free.
